Jane works from a client-centred approach, which means
  • she listens carefully to what is most important to you
  • she adapts her intervention to you - your stage of growth, your learning style
  • she offers a mixture of emotional support,  in-depth emotional experience, self awareness of patterns and practical assistance.

Jane's years as an EAP counsellor have helped her to become knowledgeable about  local resources and professionals

Jane's goal is first of all, to provide a safe environment. It is a courageous act to bring one's relationship to therapy!

  • her approach is guided by research on what makes relationships successful (Gottman)
  • couples present with issues ranging from communication and sexual difficulties to infidelity, substance abuse, and anger problems.
  • She is trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.  Her goal is to help couples transform an insecure defensive attachment into a safe and secure intimate bond
